UN PROYECTO CULTURAL
PARA RECUPERAR LA MEMORIA HISPANO JUDÍA
En el año 2014 el ayuntamiento puso en marcha un ambicioso Proyecto Cultural cuyo objetivo es la recuperación social de la memoria de sus orígenes judíos, apoyándose en tres pilares: un proyecto de investigación arqueológica y puesta en valor del antiguo emplazamiento que ocupó la comunidad judía en La Mota; la instalación de un Centro de la Memoria para la gestión global del proyecto, localizado en la plaza Mayor de la localidad; y un plan de difusión y divulgación que proyecte socialmente la iniciativa y la convierta en una referencia para el conocimiento de la cultura hispano-judía en la Edad Media.
El objetivo final de este Proyecto es la dinamización de Castrillo Mota de Judíos y de su entorno, aprovechando el elevado potencial del patrimonio histórico como recurso para el desarrollo territorial.

TO RECOVER THE HISPANIC JEWISH MEMORY
In 2014 the city council launched an ambitious Cultural Project whose objective is the social recovery of the memory of its Jewish origins, based on three pillars: an archaeological research project and enhancement of the old site occupied by the Jewish community in La Mota; the installation of a Memory Center for the global management of the project, located in the Plaza Mayor; and a dissemination and outreach plan that socially projects the initiative and turns it into a reference for knowledge of Hispanic-Jewish culture in the Middle Ages.
The ultimate goal of this Project is to revitalize Castrillo Mota de Judíos and its surroundings, taking advantage of the high potential of historical heritage as a resource for territorial development.
